There is not much difference in the cards before and after the independence of Finland. The common themes are still topographical, vehicles and romance.

 

In the 1920s, companies start to understand the value and the possibilities in using postcards for marketing, which can be seen for exampel in the card sent to the Nautela mill and saw with an offer of new machines.

 

Another new thing in the collection is series of cards. In Lauri's collection we can see one example of card-series in the mapcards made by the National Land Survey of Finland.
