Christmas cards after independence

It is hard to determine any specific shared theme in the Christmas cards after the independence of Finland. However, there is a clear wave of secularization between the commercial and the religious Christmas.

In Lauri's collection there are eighteen cards that we can date between the independece of Finland and the beginning of the Winterwar, the first one from 1919. The most common themes are the Christmas church, because it is always an atmospheric and beautiful card. This trend also continues into wartime.
