Cards of the 1960s

After the war, Finland was quickly developing from an agrarian society to a fully industrialized society. This brought a recession in the countryside and a grouping of productive industry to the south. During the 1960s, Finland experienced a huge wave of migration from the rural areas to the cities.

The cards in Lauri's collection in general have to do with the city. Buildings and squares are prominent and even one of the Christmas cards has the Helsinki Christmas street decorations as focus. There are also alot of cards with Bibleverses.
